5 tips for hosting a holiday party in your apartment.

In the midst of the holiday season, we know that many of you may be looking for ideas on how to throw a gathering in your apartment. The following tips should provide for a successful party this holiday season:

1. First and foremost, plan a party and invite guests.

• Invite a mix of old and new friends, as well as couples and singles.
• Keep it relatively small and intimate to keep everyone engaged.

2. Re-arrange your apartment (at least the areas where the guests will be)

• If you have a dining room table, center it in the room.
• Move your couch against a wall if possible.
• Take the television out of the equation. A party is about spending time with people, not watching TV!

3. Decorate your apartment.

• Set a mood with lighting and candles.
• Put out fresh flowers in rooms where you expect guests to be.
• Use a tablecloth to help dress up the dining table.

4. Food
